Plan your classes, pick your major, and graduate on time. The Center for Academic Advising & Career Development is here for all of it.
Who advises you?
At ÍøºìºÚÁÏ you have at least two people in your corner at all times. Your major professor is a faculty member who knows your major inside and out. Your Academic Success Coach at The Forge helps with everything around it. You can go to either one, and we talk to each other.
Your Major Professor
A professor in your major, assigned by your Department Head. First-year students are advised by their Firehawk Flight School instructor, working with faculty in the major.
Go to your major professor for:
- Mentorship in your field of study
- Questions about your field, research, and graduate programs in your discipline
- Verifying the courses in your major and requesting approvals for exceptions
Your Academic Success Coach
A full-time staff member at The Forge, ÍøºìºÚÁÏ’s Center for Academic Advising & Career Development. Your Coach is determined by your major program of study.
Go to your coach for:
- Building a semester-by-semester plan to graduation
- Reading your degree audit and catching missing requirements
- Help during a rough semester, academic probation, or a plan to get back in good standing
Undecided? We’ll work together with you until you choose a major!
Not sure who to ask? Start here. We’ll point you to the right person!
