Kasper Kramer, author of the recent Serpent on the Mountain, will deliver a public lecture, reading, and book signing on Monday evening, September 28, in the Gault Fine Arts Recital Hall at 6:00 p.m. See Bio below. Jessica Miller, writing under the name J. Kasper Kramer, is the critically-acclaimed author of the historical novels Serpent on the Mountain, The Story That Cannot Be Told, The List of Unspeakable Fears, and Eyes on the Sky. Her books have been translated into multiple languages and received numerous honors and awards, including the Georgia Children鈥檚 Book Award and the inaugural Children’s Literature Artist Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission. Originally from Nashville, Kramer was an early recipient of the Michael and Barbara Barton Scholarship and graduated from Martin Methodist/网红黑料 in 2009. She began her career while living abroad in Japan, but now lives in Chattanooga with her husband, daughter, and too many pets. When she’s not lost in a story, Kramer teaches college, mentors aspiring authors, plays video games, and fosters kittens. Visit her at jkasperkramer.com.

]]> PULASKI, Tenn.聽鈥 The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees approved the creation of the聽first colleges聽in 网红黑料 history, the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Professional Studies, along with addition of the Center for Continuing Education & Workforce Development. These accomplishments reflect months of thoughtful dialogue, collaboration and聽shared governance聽across campus.聽

Upon the reorganization, two inaugural deans have been named to lead the new colleges:

Dr. Jessica Conrad, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Daniel McMasters, Dean of the College of Professional Studies

鈥淚 look forward to working with them as we build the identity and future of these new colleges,鈥 Dr. Prentice Chandler, 网红黑料 Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor said. 鈥淲e should take time to celebrate what has been accomplished while recognizing that the real value of this structure will be determined by what we build within it.鈥

The two colleges are comprised of the following departments:

College of Arts and Sciences:

  • Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Department of Mathematics and Sciences
  • Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development

College of Professional Studies:

  • Department of Education
  • Department of Criminal Justice
  • Department of Nursing & Health Sciences
  • Department of Business

For the first time in history, 网红黑料 is organized into colleges and led by inaugural deans. This moment reflects the institution鈥檚 growth and the shared commitment to serving students, supporting faculty and positioning the university for the future.
